LIFE

  • Apr. 16th, 2008 at 9:10 AM

Well it has been a long time sicne i posted anything.  So here is what has been going on with my and my family.   First off i no longer have a vehicle (yeah not good)  I am very lucky to have such good friends and a huge family ehehe.   The camshaft siezed up...which means i need a new engine and not paying for that when i just spend over nine hundred dollars to get a new computer chip put into it.   Not happy.   SO in a few weeks i will go off hunting for a new vehicle.  Not sure what i want, i don't care as long as it is in decent condition.  I know though i do not want a brand new vehicle...something used is fine with me.    Now  to add on top of that...i apparently am an aunt to a drug dealer....one of my nephews is a bad boy and got himself into some trouble.  We are just hoping the judge sees he is sorry for what he was doing and will not go back to that type of life style.   It is his first offense...so things look good.  Hmmm, what else in my exciting and crazy life....i became a great aunt...again.   She was born pre mature and has a tyroid problem.  The doctors are hoping at six months her immune system will take care of that though  (crossing fingers).   Not much else that i can think of.  I had the flu and missed four days of work a couple of weeks ago.  Did not feel very well at all.   Laid in bed for three days.   Oh Steph and I have been watching a friends cats.  They were not supposed to be there for very long but ended up staying six months.   Crazyness...things happen though and we understand that.  They are finally getting them now, one has already been picked up.  So i guess i am done, for now at least.  I will try to update more often heheh.

CHILDREN'S HEALTH......

  • Sep. 25th, 2007 at 8:54 AM

Dear CDF Supporter:

Your support so far of America's more than nine million uninsured children has been overwhelming! You have joined other CDF activists to send over 180,000 emails and make over 1,000 calls to Members of Congress urging them to provide health coverage for all of America's children. Thank you for taking action!

We've been contacting you over the last few months about the State Child Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) that will expire on September 30 and its reauthorization is an ideal time to expand and improve the program to include all uninsured children. Well, it looks like Congress is going to cast critical votes on a SCHIP bill negotiated by the House and Senate this week and although the bill will only cover 1/3 of America's uninsured children, it's a step in the right direction.

Unfortunately, if President Bush has his way, we'll instead end up taking a step backwards at this critical time when the number of uninsured children is on the rise. Late last week, President Bush once again threatened to veto this SCHIP bill once it is passed by Congress, denying health coverage to millions of America's children. However, if 2/3 of Congress votes "yes" on the SCHIP bill this week (290 Representatives and 67 Senators) then Congress will be able to override Bush's veto.

Call your Members of Congress todayThat's where you come in.

Please call your Members of Congress TODAY at 800-861-5343 and tell them to pass this critical children's health legislation. Every one of your calls count because every one of our elected officials' votes is needed on this one.

Thank you for giving all of America's children a voice!

-- Children's Defense Fund

P.S. After this bill is passed, stay tuned... we'll need to get right back to work in finishing the job and providing health coverage for all children.

Birthday Party

  • Jun. 5th, 2007 at 9:12 AM

Ok i know it is like two weeks after my b-day but sister and my hunney had a kick-ass party for me this past staurday. See i didn't get to see any of my family or friends on the actual day of my b-day because my oldest sister had taken vacation and was in South Carolina plus my other sister had to work and just a bunch of shit reasons why people couldn't do much on the actual day or weekend of my birthday. So i said screw it and planned a nice get away weekend with just Steph and I. It was great and really nice to get away as just us :) But i was a bit sad and upset no one in my family or close friends seemed to want to do anything with for my b-day. I found out though it was beacause my sister and Steph had planned a party for me...i mean i turned 30...you can't just let that go by without celebrating it hehehe. I was very surprised and happy and love them soo much for doing that for me. My sister (Sarah) had said she would make it up to me for not being here for my b-day. And she did ehehe. I ususally don't care if people really remember my birthday but this was a special one...ya know. Anyway, i had a awesome time this saturday and finally got to celebrate my birthday with my family and friends.

My Birthday

  • May. 23rd, 2007 at 9:09 AM

This past friday was my birthday...and i turned 30. Yay i can't beleive it but i am not upset...i look pretty young for my age and am proud to be 30 hehe. So Steph and I went down to the cape for the weekend. We had fun and enjoyed ourselves. It was raining all weekend but we made the best of it. Friday i got trashed and we went to this club...which is downstairs from our room...and danced and had fun. There were these two chicks and we talked with them and dancing with them also....good times ehehe. There was also these two guys in which one of them was always trying to talk to us and kept buying us drinks...woohoo!! So we danced with him too and hung out but he was a bit too touchy feely...didn't like that. All in in all though it is a good night. Then for saturday we stayed in the room :) and went walking around providencetown, checked out some shops. And on sunday we returned home. I was very happy with my birthday weekend get away :)

Bartending Course

  • Jan. 25th, 2007 at 3:23 PM

Well it is the almost the end of my first week training to be a bartender and it has gone very well. It's awesome and i love it :) I can't wait to actually get out there start working...as my instructor has said we will also be mixologists hehe. I like that. But we are being taught alot of stuff like how to pour multiple drinks and such and free-pouring (doing the pouring without measuring) and that is stuff that is not shown or trained to alot of people. Some people don't get the hang of it for 6 months or more when they are just tip certified. So all is going great so far. Hopefully i will like the actual bartending part when i do start working becuase it is going to be different and alot harder than it is in a classroom setting.

My Course

  • Jan. 23rd, 2007 at 9:13 AM

K, i started my bartending course and i loved it. It was awesome....the instructor is great and very laid back. He went over some of the basics and all that then we got straight to work. We started pouring shots...like what you would put into a drink and trying to measure that without looking and then doing it straight into the drink mix. Started getting a hold of that pretty quick, he was like "don't worry spilling or the water flying" or if we got we got our shoes a little wet and the bar top wet ehehe. It was alot of fun. What he does if fill the bottles with water and adds coloring to it make them look like the color of alcohol they would be. Smart move since who the hell would want to go through that much alcohol hehe. It can be expensive.

Learning New Things

  • Jan. 18th, 2007 at 9:09 AM

Well i finally did it and checked into going for bartending training and i got into a class starting this monday coming up :) I am soo excited i have always wanted to do this, i just hope i do like working in that type of environment. I love talking to people and going out to bars and clubs so i think i will be ok but you have to deal with people on a different level if i am working there. So i'll give it my best try and at least i can say i have tried and did it plus i'll have a bartending license and that is too sweet. It will help also getting the extra cash...we want to start saving for a house and i would like a newer suv too. And if we want these things we need another income coming in. That is it for anything that is really going on.

Oh i did have the surgery to get that pollup removed from my uterus and it all went well. I have my check-up appointment next friday and then all things are a go again to try to get pregnant :)

Just Stuff

  • Dec. 6th, 2006 at 10:30 AM

Well not sure what to write but figured i should update since i have not in a very long time. Ummm...like last month one sunday my sister had a adult toy party it was awesome...not sure why i did not write about that when it happened hehe. So anyways it was a blast, my sister was showing her boobies off and Steph got drunk and had alot of fun hehe. My sister (Sarah)even got a male and a female stripper...all i can say is WOW!!! The guy wasn't all that great but the woman was hot and did a fabulous job. She made more loot than the guy hehe. WE had a great time and can't wait to go to another one hehehe. And let's see...oh i am not pregnant yet if anyone can guess i definitely would of done an entry on that. We are going to try again after the holidays...i need to have this pollup removed that is on my uterus..it is very common i guess but your body sometimes won't allow you to become pregnant because it senses it there and so won't let you become pregnant, it is like it rejects it because something is not right. But it is easily removed and then i shouldn't have a problem after that. Other that not much else comes to mind. Just getting ready for the holidays and actually have most of my x-mas shopping done...which is rare for me hehe. So i am off and i'll be updating more soon :)

GAY RIGHTS

Gay Rights
"Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?"
-- Ernest Gaines

We would like to know who really believes in gay rights on LiveJournal. There is no bribe of a miracle or anything like that. If you truly believe in gay rights, then repost this and title the post as "Gay Rights". If you don't believe in gay rights, then just ignore this. Thanks.

Pellet Guns

  • Oct. 5th, 2006 at 9:53 AM

Steph showed me how to use her pellet gun. It was kick-ass. We were shooting at some empty cans. It has a scope and set up aim for you. I was having a blast hehe. She has had it for years i guess and learned from her ex. So she was showing how, my aim is awful though. I can't wait to try again. I know we won't get an actual gun though, we will just play around with the pellet gun. If needed that will knock someone out and hurt um enough ehehe. We really have no worries on the safety thing but i was curious how a gun felt in your hands and now i know because this gun is pretty close to a real one. Other than that just having fun, working and living and loving (wink, wink) Oh tonight we go to the Big and Rich concert...can't wait. I'll let ya all know how it is.

Concerts

  • Sep. 15th, 2006 at 11:28 AM

Steph and I went to see Black Eyed Peas last night at the casino and we had alot of fun. Of course Steph was drooling from seeing Ferugie hehe. She is soo hot and we had awesome seats so we very happy :) It was very long...they had two opening acts, the first one was clled Swollen Members...never heard of them before and the the second was Dandaie Cane(not sure if i spelt it correct) they are the band P-Diddy put together from his show "Making the Band". They were very good and the first act wasn't too bad either. But B.E.P. was on for like two hours pretty much..long show ehhe..it started at 7pm and it got over with the encore and everything at 11:30pm. So we are both very tired but glad we went.

Summer's End

  • Aug. 17th, 2006 at 8:44 AM

Oh i can't believe it is almost the end of summer. But i had a good time and enjoyed it alot. I kind of wish we got to do a bit more though...always do hehe. But we saw alot of awesome shows and took the bike out often enough. Cooked out a bit...we actually will be having a little get togeter and cookout thing for friends and family on the 4th :) So not much else...besides dealing my sister and her wild, crazy kids. Thank god they will be in there own home soon....they should have already been but the people fixing it up needed a few extra weeks...so the date for move in was pushed to the end of this month instead of the beginning :( We are working it out though and they stay alot at my younger brother's place most of the week, except for only two days..so that is nice. No way could we take them being there a full week, they don't listen and are bad. Ok all done complaining ehhehe and summing up summer for me...nothing too wild to talk but did have alot of fun.

Family

  • Aug. 3rd, 2006 at 8:55 AM

Ok now my one of my sister's and her four children have been staying with us for the last two weeks, this is the third week here but she has been staying most of it at my brothr's (since he is pretty much living with his girlfriend) i am glad of that hehe. It is crazy having them around...they don't always act very well..like never. Steph is going insane...she is not used to big families like mine and having soo many kids around at a time. But she has stuck through it with me and still is somewhat sane ehehe. Actually the youngest three are around the most because the oldest child stays with my mom and helps her out with stuff ( he is 12) the three youngest are 8,7,6. See she was staying with her inlaws but they started treating her like crap and accusing her of shit (she is going through a divorce) and she couldn't take it there anymore. She is getting a house that was supposed to be ready by the 1st of this month but is not...they hope it will be by the end of this now they say. So as soon as her palce is ready she is out of our home hehe...thank god. At least i know she is getting a place..it's not like she has no idea where she can go to and when. That is a plus and what i keep telling myself to make it through some days with her crazy kids hehe. Having one at a time or even two is ok but not all three or even all four. Soo that is what has bee going on with my crazy life and family :)
